Create & edit a course

How to use the course editor: cover image, pricing, structure, the moderation checklist before publishing, and the actions available to authors after launch.

Why this page matters

The course page is your hub: copy, price, cover, chat, meal plan, and submit for moderation / revision buttons. Below: “from scratch” and “already live” flows.

Create a course from scratch

  1. Create course or Create course on the dashboard.
  2. Fill title, short and full description, content language.
  3. Set price, access duration (days after purchase), optional discount.
  4. Upload cover image.
  5. Save and open Manage videos — at least one workout is required for moderation.

Creating a course

Author actions block

On your course page you’ll see:

ActionWhen available
EditAlways (into revision if approved)
Submit for moderationDraft + confirmed verification
Withdraw from moderationStatus under review
Submit revision for moderationApproved course with revision draft
Start revisionApproved — separate draft for large updates

Manage videos, Previews, TranslationsPer lifecycle stage

Buyers never see this block — only the storefront card and purchased content.

Checklist before first moderation

  • Verification — confirmed
  • Cover uploaded
  • At least one workout video (videos)
  • Description and price set
  • Goals / equipment for catalog filters (recommended)
  • Chat on or you message first (chat)
  • Optional: previews, PDFs, meal plan

Price and access duration

  • Price — what the buyer pays (minus platform terms).
  • Access duration — days of video/material access after purchase. State clearly in the description what happens when it ends.

Price changes on an approved course go into a revision — buyers see the old price until the revision is approved.

Recommended meal plan

Attach your approved meal plan so one purchase includes workouts and nutrition. Create plans in Meal plans.

Schedule

In Manage videos, assign day / week per workout. Buyers see a calendar in the app and site — not a flat file list.

Private revision preview

For approved courses, use the private preview link in author actions before Submit revision for moderation. You see the draft; buyers don’t get the link.

After launch

  1. Monitor chat and analytics.
  2. Small edits → edit → revision accumulates → submit revision.
  3. Large update → Start revision → Revisions.

Common mistakes

  • Editing an approved course and expecting instant catalog updates — need approved revision.
  • Submitting without videos.
  • Disabling chat and not knowing you can still message students — they cannot start.
